Home to the Seattle Mariners baseball club, SAFECO Field was a fast-track project built to seat approximately 47,000 fans. The ballpark features 68 private and two group suites, multiple restaurants, a play area, a family picnic area, open-air plazas, restrooms, a team store and a hall of fame museum. SAFECO Field is wired to fulfill all of its technology needs. The Mariner’s clubhouse features premier locker rooms, training facilities and administrative areas. The two year construction schedule provided a limited window to complete the project, and the 1,200 electrical activities required Valley Electric to maintain an extensive electrical crew throughout the duration of the entire project. With approximately 160 personnel, our field management kept the job flowing smoothly while maintaining an efficient work standard. Our electrical system installation included electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and the telecommunication systems associated with the construction of a major league baseball park. The project doubled in size with no change to the contract completion date.
