Microsoft West Campus & Central Utility Plant

This design-build LEED Silver project consisted of two, identical 260,000 square feet four-story Class-A office buildings, a 5,000-stall below grade parking garage, a mechanical central plant to support the entire campus expansion, a central campus commons area consisting of three separate buildings, and the complete site development including installation of new and relocated utilities and signalization.

Valley Electric provided electrical power and distribution for the 5,500 ton central chilled water plant. The plant also have had provisions for a 1,100 ton expansion. Our scope of work included 2-4000 amp switchboards serving the central chilled water equipment including 6-chillers, cooling towers, condenser water pumps and chilled water pumps. The project also included a 1000kW diesel emergency generator for life safety, optional standby power, legally required power and two fire pumps.
