The Husky Union Building (HUB) is a 290,000 square foot historical remodel located in the heart of the University of Washington. The facility houses student and faculty offices, a 1,314-occupant ballroom, a 396-occupant multi-purpose “lyceum”, 12 lane bowling alley, billiard parlor, video arcade, cafeteria, book store, bank, multiple food court restaurants, conference and meeting rooms along with a large atrium to allow natural light through the large sky lights. The HUB also hosts a natural ventilation system and a heat-recovery system that draws from the campus chilled-water system. The new electrical system is fed from new 5000 Vac Emergency Feeders along with 12,470 Vac normal power feeders from the tunnel infrastructure. It hosts all new Emergency and Normal power switchgear and panels throughout.
