Valley is proud to have partnered with Central Washington Hospital and M.A. Mortenson on the Tower Project. Without a doubt this has been one of the most exciting projects we have worked on for CWH.
Total area of project is around 220,000 square feet. Project was a design assist with Stantec as the electrical designer.
The electrical installation consisted of extension of existing medium voltage 12470 to feed new padmount transformer for the tower. Service is a single ended 4000A switchboard located on ground floor with various distribution up the tower in each of the floor electrical rooms. There is also an essential double ended switchboard with tie breaker fed from the central plant to accommodate life safety and legally required loads for the tower. A 100KVA UPS was installed to back up the server room. One fire pump installed on the project. Lighting consisted of general drop in grid fixtures for administrative areas, linear corridor lighting for patient floors, and patient rooms received drop in fixtures above patient beds, wall sconces for the head wall and can lighting for other general lighting. A small Lutron grafix eye 4000 system was installed to control conference room lighting and the training room. One relay panel were installed to control exterior lighting. General building lighting control was done by local wall switches. Systems consisted of fire alarm, tele/data cabling (Integrity), CCTV (Keyhole), access control (Keyhole), CATV (EVCO), paging (Evco) and cabling for wireless access antenna’s. Nurse call installation was by EVCO that was purchased directly through the hospital, Valley installed raceway only for the nurse call system.
