The 1063 Block Replacement Project (“1063”) is a 5-story, 200,000 SF office building in Olympia, WA. The Washington State Patrol and other state government departments will occupy the building initially. The project has high sustainability and energy-performance goals.
The Block 1063 building is designed to house a number of state agencies and serve as a public but secure facility. A large porch spans the block on the side facing the Capitol Campus. On the north side of the site, bio-filtration planters capture stormwater and sidewalks and plantings create a link between the campus, the City of Olympia, and beyond.
