Washington State University, Veterinarian Medical Research Building

This state-of-the-art, 5-story, 128,000-sf building provides high-technology research space for the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Department of Veterinary and Comparative Anatomy, Pharmacology, and Physiology (VCAPP), as well as for the Department of Animal Sciences and for WSU’s Program in Neuroscience. Additionally, the building houses a 20,000-sf ground floor Vivarium including animal isolation, holding and care areas with extensive diurnal lighting controls. Valley self-performed all division 26 work and subcontracted/managed scope divisions 27 and 28. Scope: 5kV medium voltage transformer, 4 padmount transformers, 5 distribution switchboards, 65 panelboards, 6 dry type transformers, 1 automatic transfer switch, tunnel work, buss duct and installation of all the major systems including fire alarm, security, telephone/data, lighting and power, low voltage lighting control, and HVAC controls.
