Massive GC/CM renovation of Colman Dock, the busiest ferry terminal in Washington State, one of the busiest in the world. To maintain Colman Dock’s critical role as a regional multimodal transportation hub, the team replaced the aging and seismically vulnerable wood piles and trestle foundation with steel for strength and longevity. The project entails the demolition and replacement of the 23,000-sf ferry terminal and passenger facilities. The project is built to attain LEED Silver. Electrical scope consists of demolition of existing power and electrical system, new power distribution system, lighting, security, fire alarm and communications in new Terminal Building, VPAC Building and Passenger-only Ferry Building.
