Located in the heart of Seattle’s biotechnology community, this state-of-the-art lab facility provides research in immune system mechanisms, genetics in human development, and childhood cancers and disorders. This new building, located near two of the Institute’s other facilities, comprises 13-stories and space for 410,000-sf of research and office facilities along with amenities such as food service and locker facilities for research staff. The new tower includes a data center to support research, community outreach, and community educational facilities in museum and laboratory classroom spaces, training and collaboration spaces, a 240-seat auditorium, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and vivarium spaces, laboratory, and open office environments. Four levels below ground accommodate research facilities, building operations, and parking for about 180 vehicles. Retail and educational facilities are dedicated to translating lab discoveries to patient treatments and has the capacity to house 1,900 researchers.
