Large scale upgrades to the Central Kitsap Treatment Plant that provides wastewater treatment for much of the central Kitsap County, and for solids, including those hauled from the County’s other treatment plants. This project creates long-term solids improvements and development of liquid hauled waste facilities at the Central Kitsap Treatment Plant. Upgrades include new digesters, rehabilitation of existing digesters, an expanded liquid hauled waste station, and constructing associated facilities. The project will address aging infrastructure, regulatory compliance, worker safety, liquid hauled waste capacity, and also provide beneficial use of biogas.
