COMMUNITY

Valley Cares

The Pacific Northwest is our home. We care deeply for the communities we serve, and supporting the families who live here. Our volunteer work helps to improve the quality of life of our community while enhancing the neighborhoods they reside in.

Every year Valley is diligent in assisting charities through a multitude of volunteer programs and fundraising events. Our firm provides the resources for our personnel to raise money, volunteer their services at non-profit events, and give support to those in need. Our work enriches the families we serve, while uniting our community, and bonding our Valley team away from the work environment.

Our annual stewardship events include Skanska’s Rainier Scholars Annual Fundraiser, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk, Mary’s Place, the YMCA Dodgeball Tournament for the Make a Splash Program, Farmer Frog, Habitat for Humanity, and NAIOP’s Community Enhancement Project. Our Valley Secret Santa program serves over 200 children every year! Community stewardship is a tradition that we cherish at Valley, now and for years to come.

Valley Electric is proud to team-up with The Walsh Group sponsoring an endeavor to benefit Food Lifeline, a local non-profit organization.

Girl Scout's Visit Jobsite!

Thank you to Girl Scout Troop 43115 for visiting our Pierce College Campus  jobsite. The troop  walked  through the building process – from design, building systems, to modeling, and construction. Jamie Stuart (Valley Electric VP of Field Operations), along with our partners Absher Construction and Integrus Architecture who talked to the girls about all the opportunities for Women in Construction, working as an Electrical Contractor, and what it means to be an Architect. Thank you to everyone who participated in this fun jobsite tour!

Annual Secret Santa Program

The highlight of the year for many of Valley’s employees is the Annual Secret Santa program, which Valley started back in 2005. Since Christmas 2019, we’ve adopted over 2,000 kids. It’s a time to remember that we’re fortunate in our lives and to give back. Many of our Secret Santas have very personal reasons for participating and it’s touching to learn a little more about each other, so the blessings are twofold.

In 2023, we received the Puget Sound Chapter Safety Excellence Award. This is the fourth consecutive year.

NECA’s Recognition of Safety Achievement program is an elite safety recognition award focused on recognizing companies that excel in multiple areas of their safety and health programs. NECA companies that consistently have OSHA recordable injury rates at levels lower than the industry standard and implement internal company safety practices above and beyond basic compliance receive the recognition.
