As part of PCL’s Quality Control and Recognition Program, PCL selects an outstanding subcontractor as the “Quality Sub of the Month” to formally show appreciation for providing exceptional day-to-day quality efforts on projects and for the owner during a given month.
For the month of March 2017, PCL Construction recognized Valley Electric as “Quality Sub of the Month” on the Factoria Recycling Transfer Station project. Valley Electric displayed superior quality during the month of March 2017 in the following ways:
- Crew members were experienced, professional and safe.
- Foreman Mark Sedlickas identified well ahead of final inspections issues with Roof Top Fans that would have help up TCO.
- Work has be sequenced in order to get ahead of schedule on key activities.
- Valley Electric and their supplier QCC has be instrumental in developing corrective actions for the cistern control panels; even though the work was not currently in scope.
PCL’s quality vision statement is to “Provide a quality product that exceeds expectations the first time every time.” PCL works with their subcontractors to achieve these goals throughout an entire project’s duration.
