This project entailed the specific requirements of an air terminal which included airline ticketing and handling, security gates, arriving passenger lounges, baggage claim, and rental car agents. Early workshops with Horizon Air and the Port of Moses Lake determined the bay size established for airline use. Construction of Horizon’s space was completed simultaneously with the terminal construction.
Construction of a 31,092 square foot terminal building facility including approximately 23,000 square foot of main floor terminal space, plus an upper level port office suite and a small basement area. Steel frame with EIFS and glass exterior enclosure and synthetic membrane roofing. Snack bar, baggage claim, airside (ramp) work for plane de-icing and ground power units, F.I.S. interior improvements, extra tenant space, finished space for airline (ticketing and baggage check in) and support facilities for a fully operational airport terminal building.
